Workshop was attended by the heads of six national universities and the Medical University "Astana", the chairmen of dissertation councils, as well as graduates of the PhD program of doctoral studies in 2011.
During the workshop meeting reports of dissertation council were reviewed. Recommendations to improve the training of PhD doctoral students were admitted. In particular:
• to regulatory requirements KKSON strictly;
• to make amendment to the existing regulations with the purpose to clarify language and remove the ambiguity;
• to make changes in state education standards for PhD;
• to strengthen the requirements for appointment of foreign consultants and selecting the theme of the thesis in conformity with national priorities, government programs and programs of basic and applied research;
• heads of institutions to represent explanations on doctoral students whose dissertations works were not considered in 2011 by the KKSON RK.
Finally of seminar-meeting a working group to improve the training of scientific personnel from among the scholars of universities was formed.
